Why Do I Do What I do?

sometimes I feel the need to reevaluate what goes on in my life; to wonder about my motivations. How about you? In this post, I'd like to address the following questions:

Actually, you'll find that all of them are answered on other pages of my website, but maybe it's good to have some short answers together on one single page.

So, let's see.

Why did I start Accessibility In Mind?

This is what this page is about, which I would really urge you to read, because it could well be an eye opener for you. However, if you don't feel like going there...

Long story short, I started Accessibility In Mind, because I realized that the problem of accessibility of public buildings and areas was not being addressed where it actually begins: on the drawingboard.

Why did I become a Second Life resident?

I became a Second Life resident with the idea of starting Accessibility In Mind there. I envisioned having some land where people could see what it takes to have an area or building be accessible to everyone, including people in wheelchairs or with impaired vision.

What did I feel my purpose was when I met Cori?

When I met Cori and had a different understanding of her situation than I do now - which you're welcome to read about here - I felt I found not only love, but also a new purpose in life; a way for both Cori and me to serve far more people than just her and her family. Since then, however, my understanding has changed dramatically.

I'm not sure if I can find the right words to describe it, or even if I should describe it here. I can say that I'm still committed to helping prevent the most vulnerable avoid losing their friends and support, but would also like to have a role in repairing the damage that I feel partially responsible for.

At present, I can only hope I'll get the chance.

As always, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post. If you have any questions or comments, then please let me know in the form down below.
