Over time, I have found that there is a good side and a bad side to blogging. A post can infuriate people, which some of my posts have done, can share misconceptions. Some blog posts of mine have done both. A number of them turned out so badly that I've had to delete them. I wrote about it in this post. A post can also help, support, explain...and yes, I know there is so much overlap there, that you might feel like you're reading synonyms at this point.
As nice as blogging can be - depending on what you choose to blog about - bloggers need to keep both sides of the blogging coin in mind. We need to do as news reporters do, or should be doing. Before you make any kind of claim, see if you can find sources that confirm or deny a claim. Also, describe what your claim is based on.
I hope that my recent experience has made me more careful about making claims - time will tell - and that it will make me always include the basis of any claims I do make. So, I hope I will never leave the following questions open:
If I ever leave any of these questions open - or any other questions for that matter - then please let me know.
I am undoubtedly not the only one who crafts blog posts with the hope of achieving a particular goal; reaching one particular person or a group. One thing I've found I've had to come to terms with is that I don't have that much control over who reads my posts, or even over who finds my website. All I can do is ask my readers to share.
Please understand me right. I'm not begging. I'm simply stating a fact.
As always, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post. If you have any questions or comments, then please let me know in the form down below.
Please fill in all three fields or the form will not be sent. Your comment will not appear right away.
