More Questions Than Answers

You might not see me doing much, but that doesn't mean that I'm sitting still. Also, I might not be able to (properly) put into words what I'm doing to make Cori's and my dream come true, but I am working on it, and I have some good news to share. Or, is it...? You be the judge.

Some time ago, I found a service called Zumper. This is a website where you can look for houses for rent in the USA. The good news is that I found a house for which the rent is low enough for my spreadsheet to show more income than expenses. The bad news is that my spreadsheet assumes that Cori and I will both be having an SSI, whereas the reality is that my SSI won't kick in the day I arrive in the USA, and probably not even the day I become a US citizen.

So, what do we do? Start a GoFundMe? Accept donations through PayPal?

With a vacation usually being the next step in a situation like ours, you might be wondering why I am so eager to show that Cori and I will be able to make ends meet. I'm going to give you two answers.

The first answer, as illogical as it sounds, is that this appears to be the prerequisite for me to get the support I need to reach my dearest Cori.

The second answer is that our ultimate goal is to be together, for which we will need to be able to make ends meet. This brings me to the question what our donors are going to get out of this. I'm open to suggestions, which reminds me, I really need to make a convenient way for you to comment on my posts. That's what I'll be working on next.

Well... Actually, it might already be up by the time you read this.

Lastly... Although I hope that my blog posts are at least helpful, many of them may not tell you much about what goes on at our end. The simple explanation is that we are making progress very slowly indeed. This must frustrate my sweet Cori at least as much as it does me. When the time is right, we will tell you all about what's been going on, in hopes of preventing the same happening to others.

As always, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post. If you have any questions or comments, then please let me know in the form down below.
