One week ago today, my dad passed away. We attended the ceremony yesterday.
The speaker who addressed us, did a good job of addressing the very point I was prepared to make during the ceremony. Here's a more expanded and slightly adapted version of what I was prepared to say:
Many of us are born out of the love of our parents. We go through life with the opportunity to adopt good traits and with the hope to pass these traits on to others. This blog post includes some things my dad did, as a result of those good traits. I like to believe that, as long as we can keep these traits alive, at least that part of him will stay with us.
The one thing I will remember most about my dad, which the speaker at the ceremony was kind enough to address, is a strong urge to find solutions to problems he was faced with. He made one thing, adapted another thing... One might wonder how well he always prepared before undertaking something, but you could not fault him for a lack of drive.
Many people will have gotten a taste of my dad's desire to find solutions to problems. May all of them have the wisdom to keep it alive within themselves and to pass it on to others.
As always, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post. If you have any questions or comments, then please let me know in the form down below.
