I remember being asked this question at least once, and I couldn't really give a short answer to it. In this blog post I will describe my way of thinking about God.
Please, keep in mind that this blog post is only intended as a description of my way of thinking. While you are free to adopt my way of thinking, any attempt to convince you to adopt it would go against everything I believe in. My goal is merely to reach a mutual understanding.
I used to think of God as a being that either does or does not exist. Since I watched some videos about the workings of transcendental meditation, I don't consider this a yes/no question anymore. If you would like to know how I think about this question nowadays, I invite you to read on.
If you would ask a quantum physicist to describe energy, he/she could say this:
It can never be created or destroyed.
It always was and always has been.
Everything that ever existed always exists.
It's moving into form, through form and out of form.
If you would ask a theologian to describe God, he/she could say this:
It can never be created or destroyed.
It always was and always has been.
Everything that ever existed always exists.
It's moving into form, through form and out of form.
I believe that it's no coincidence that these descriptions are the same. Furthermore, I believe that there is a source of everything, but that this source is not a being we should feel obligated to praise or pray to.
So, if I don't believe in a being we should feel obligated to praise or pray to, then what do I see as fulfilling our wishes and dreams? It's the law of attraction, which I've mentioned before on my blog, and which is described in a video I found on YouTube, which has since been deleted.
As always, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post. If you have any questions or comments, then please let me know in the form down below.
